A walk with a difference by Suzanne Swinson.

This is a walk with a difference in that participants will each be invited to create a personal sketchbook of the walk, exploring the area around Far Arnside, examining and recording geological features and landscapes from modern to medieval. No artistic skills are required!

In the distant past Suzanne was a geographer and later went on to take a geology and environmental science degree through the OU. She is interested in how the landscapes of today can tell stories about the past.

The walk is 3.5 miles in length, with some gentle ascents. Some paths are narrow, uneven and possibly slippery. The event should finish by 4:00 pm.

Please note that dogs are not permitted on this walk.

As the number of participants is limited to 16, booking is essential.

To book on this event, please email bookings@landscapetrust.org.uk, giving the walk code W7, together with name of each person attending, their email address and contact telephone number, and state whether or not they are Landscape Trust members.  If you also wish to book on other events at the same time, you are welcome to include all of your bookings in a single email.

Please note that this event is primarily intended for members of the Landscape Trust.  Non-members are welcome to attend but we would appreciate a donation of £5 per adult wishing to take part.
