EP7 – Kent Estuary Natural History Walk
Sunday 15th September, 2019 at 10:00 am
A walk by local botanist and natural historian, Lynne Farrell.
This walk will be an exploration of the shoreline and environs of the Kent Estuary between Arnside and New Barns, looking at the local botany, geology, bird-life and other general wildlife of the estuary, as well as touching upon some aspects of local history.
The walk will be of approximately 2 miles, and is expected to take about 2 hours (or longer, if people wish to buy refreshments at the Bob-In Café, at the half-way point). Participants are advised to wear walking boots, as well as other suitable outdoor clothing, as some of the walking will be over rocks and over other possibly slippery surfaces. There will also be some road walking.
If you will be travelling to this event by car and are able to offer a lift to someone without transport, or alternatively would appreciate a lift to the event, please let us know when booking.
PLEASE NOTE: Booking for this event is by email only.
