Walking the Landscape: Historic Warton

Friday 23rd August at 10:45 am - 2:00 pm

We’re taking a walk through the village of Warton, exploring various historic features of the area.

This route is of moderate difficulty, using paths with uneven ground, inclines and stiles. The walk will last for approx. 3-4 hours and there will be an opportunity to break for lunch.

Please bring:

  • suitable clothing, including layers and a waterproof jacket
  • water / drinks
  • food (either snacks for energy or a pack up) – and remember to have a big breakfast!
  • sunscreen (if sunny)
  • walking boots
  • spare socks (just in case)
  • a phone
  • walking poles (if usually used)

An e-mail with details about meeting points and other information will be sent out prior to the event. We’d like to encourage as many people as possible to attend using public transport, and will arrange to meet people at the bus stop in Warton village, which connects to Carnforth and Silverdale Railway Stations.

This is a joint Arnside/Silverdale Landscape Trust and Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape event.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL: Please book through our Eventbrite listing.
