We want your photos!

Are you a keen photographer? Have you captured that perfect shot? Would you like others to see it?

If so, why not submit your photographs to our 2024/5 Photographic Events?

What do we want?

We are seeking photographs that celebrate the natural beauty of the Arnside & Silverdale National Landscape, as seen through the eye of the photographer (or, at least, through the lens of their camera!)

Why do we want them?

We are hoping to hold two photographic events over the coming 12 months or so.  The main event is planned for June 2025, when we are planning to mount a major photographic exhibition as part of the annual Silverdale & Arnside Art & Craft Trail.  For this event (fingers crossed that it runs) we would like to feature a substantial collection of images from around the National Landscape, show-casing our natural beauties, whether those are bugs, beasties, birds, plant life, landscapes, seascapes or skyscapes (or some combination of all of the above)  In short, we’re ruling nothing out, as long as your photo features some aspect of the National Landscape area.

Before then, though, we are also planning our calendar for 2025. This will be on the general theme of Plants & Animals in the National Landscape; for this, we are looking for a total of 13 images, capable of being printed in A4 horizontal format.

In addition, we are always on the look-out for suitable images to feature on our website, or to adorn the cover of Keer to Kent.

When do we want them?

Photographs for the exhibition can be submitted any time until 30 April 2025.  If you would like your images to be considered for inclusion in the calendar, these need to be with us no later than 31 August 2024. There is no need to make a separate submission for calendar images; we’ll automatically consider all photos submitted before 31 August that fit the requirements for the calendar.

What's in it for the photographer?

We are currently exploring options for prizes for the main exhibition event; details will be announced once finalised. Photographers whose images are selected for the 2025 Calendar will be supplied with one free copy of the calendar for each image used.

How do you submit photographs?

Please submit your images using the form below, one image per submission. Each participant may submit up to eight images.

Please ensure that you have read, understood and agree to the rules, terms and conditions before submitting any images.
